During last week’s pep rally, the 2023 Homecoming nominees were announced and are now awaiting the final selection of the king and queen.

“It means everything to me, it’s a really cool opportunity.” senior Ariana Trevino said. “I was nervous at first, but now that it’s really here I’m excited for Friday.”

These nominees selected from the senior class, have been chosen for their contributions to the school and community. Many of these students are involved in activities like playing sports but other students gain support through their warm personalities.

“I would like to say I’m kind, caring, respectful,” Demarcus Barnes said. “I’m always willing to lift others up when they are down.”

The nominees also have shown their support for each other by encouraging the student body to vote for each other.

‘You shouldn’t vote for me, you should vote for Demarcus.” Beckham Paul said.

Homecoming king and queen will be announced during halftime of Friday’s football game.

‘I think people should vote for all of us”, Trevino said. “I mean those girls worked really hard too.”
